• VFB Cheerleaders will go take pictures to get our calendar rolling - Bring all three KMHS Tee's (Black sparkle; pink; blue kside) and jeans...
• I will drive and need a few girls to drive...
• meet in room 523 right after school so we can get going!

Wednesday, Oct 1

Thursday, Oct 2

• we will finish taking the pics for our calendar
• meet in room 523 RIGHT after school

Friday, Oct 3

• 3:30pm ALL KMHS CHEERLEADERS meet in the small gym for competition set up instructions
• COMPETITION WILL PRACTICE once mats are set up in the BIG gym (white tee/black shorts)
• Every cheerleader will have a specific area to help set up - TEAM work will get this done quickly - our goal is to dismiss cheerleaders by 5:30pm (plenty of time before powder puff)

Saturday, Oct 4

• KMHS Mountain Cheer Classic - MANDITORY CHEER EVENT for all KMHS Cheerleaders
• see your coach for your specific duty station/time to report
• We will be done ~6pm - again TEAM work will get us out sooner!

This weeks MVC is Breann Chambers - thanks for bringing the BLACK streamers and balloons! Way to come thru! Enjoy the glitter!!!!

Now we have two weeks to prepare for the next football game - October 10 @ CHEROKEE HS!!!

REMEMBER: ALL KMHS cheerleaders will have a specific job for our biggest fundraiser - the Mountain Cheer Classic on October 4. We will set up after school on Friday - make banners and get the school ready for the competition.

Changes for Friday - BLACK OUT!!!

TO SCHOOL: wear Skull shirt w/jeans

TO GAME: wear Skull shirt w/purple bow and "K" skirt, black bloomers and infinitys - after school I will pass out the purple bows and under armor

Make sure you have sold at least 5 BBQ tickets and your money/tickets are turned in so you can cheer!!! NO EXCUSES!

Time Break Down for GAME DAY Activities...

• 7:50am meet in rm 523 for breakfast
• 8 - 8:15am peprally w/pompoms in courtyard
• 3:40pm meet in rm 523 to get game festivities under way
• 4pm decorate locker room
• 5pm eat dinner
• after dinner to 6:15pm get ready
• 6:15pm head down to the stadium
• 7:30pm Kick Off against Harrison
• ~10pm post game meeting and dismissal

• $6 is due for your skull black out tee if you have not already bought one - give me your $$ because Mr. Richardson cut me a deal on them - we will wear these to school and the game - our bow lady (Joy Coffey) is making us a pretty purple bow to wear Friday night!

Thursday, Sept 25

• 3:30 - 5pm @ small gym "full out" competition practice - then we will spend the rest of practice cleaning up the small stuff... (Frosh will be dismissed at 4:30pm)
• wear any black tee w/blue shorts
• 3:30 - 5pm VFB girls will need to stuff the goodie bags and make spirit signs - comp girls will help after practice is over

Friday, Sept 26 - BLACK OUT!!!! and Cheer BBQ catered by Williamson Bros. BBQ

• 7:50am meet in room 523 for breakfast - wear SKULL tee w/jeans
• 8am - 8:15am Pep Rally in courtyard!!!
• 3:40pm meet in rm 523 to gather posters and decorations for locker room!
• 4pm decorate the locker room
• 5pm eat dinner
• 5:30 - 6:15pm get ready (wear halter skirt, bloomers, skull shirt) - tape run thru - get game chores etc...
• 6:15pm head down to field and prepare to kick some hoya BUTT!!!
• 7:30pm Kick Off vs Harrison

Saturday, Sept 26

• Compete at East Paulding - no details yet!!!
• Bus Drop Off ONLY - cheerleaders need to arrange a ride home from East Paulding with parent/responsible adult

Friday night you cheered our team to victory against a tough competitor NORTH COBB!

ASHLEY COFFEY is this week's MVP! Several times over the last few weeks Ashley pitched in and helped out with out being asked... cage clean out - game chores - competition practice rolling mats!!! She has been the example for TEAM work. THANKS Ashley!!! Come see me Monday - I have something special for you!

Saturday afternoon you cheered your way to EARN a second place finish at our opening competition!

With only a 1 point difference between WALTON and us - you out scored 4 of our REGION competitors by 30+ points each!!!!!! With +++comments for our cheer and dance and energy on the floor - WOW! What heart you all showed to get back out there and end on a high note!

This is shaping up to be the best year yet for KMHS!!!! YOU ALL ARE AWESOME!

Keep up the awesome attitudes and remember - we are all in this together - we must always GIVE 100% and support each other to achieve our maximum potential! STATE CHAMPS is our GOAL!!!!!!!!

Details for FRIDAY

FRIDAY - Sept 19 - White Out @ North Cobb

• 7:50am meet in room 523 for breakfast - whiteout shirt w/jeans and POMS!
• 8 - 8:15am - Pep Rally w/POMS
• 3:40pm - meet in 523 to fill goodie bags and deliver them & posters to locker room
• 5pm - DINNER - Little Caesars pizza/breadsticks and salad
• After dinner till 6pm - get ready for game - wear HALTER uniform w/white bow - I will pass out the underarmor shirts as it may get chilly tonight!
• 6pm - load the bus and drive to North Cobb
• 7:30pm Kickoff @ NCobb
• ~10:30pm arrive back at KMHS for post game meeting and dismissal

COMPETITION Saturday, Sept 20 @ Cartersville

1. 12:15pm - meet @ KMHS in the parking lot at the bottom of the hill


2. 12:30pm - Load Bus and depart for Cartersville HS


3. 1:15pm - arrive @ Cartersville HS and check in


4. ~2:45pm - go to warm-up


5. ~3:10pm - season kick-off with a STELLAR performance


6. ~4pm - AWARDS

After awards OUR TEAM and supporters will go to 5Guys for a sponsored TEAM dinner. Dinner for Girls and Coaches has been donated by 5Guys.

All cheerleaders will need to ride home with their parents - or designated adult - as our bus only drops off. This will be the standard for all cheer competitions.

• 4pm Competition SWEET TOMATOES Dinner @ Chelsea Owen's House - Belleterre Subdivision (Kennesaw Due West, past Pine Mtn MS on the right) - this is MANDITORY for ALL competition cheerleaders and coaches only - we will be done by 5:30pm

Thursday, Sept 18

• 3:40pm to 4:40pm Varsity Spirit practice... - go over pyramid and some sideline chants that SOME OF YOU still do not know - tape the run-thru (yes, a day early!)
• wear ANY black tee w/white shorts

Friday, Sept 19 (details on what to wear later this week)

• 7:50am meet in rm523 for breakfast - pompoms and peprally
• 3:40 - 4:30pm COMPETITION EXHIBITION - we compete at Cartersville Saturday!
• 4pm - VFB (non-comp) will go and put up signs and goody bags in lockerroom...
• 5pm eat dinner in room 506
• 6:15pm get on Bus and head over to NCobb for the NORTH/SOUTH Game!
• ~10:30pm arrive back at KMHS and dismissal...

Thanks for your dedication and spirit as you cheered on the MUSTANGS all day FRIDAY!!! A morning pep rally, three MS pep rallys and then a very emotional game to cheer... You are an awesome group! Thanks for giving your all!

• Pine Mtn PepRallys - details to come later this week (~11:15am leave KMHS and ~3:15pm return to KMHS) ALL VFB and VComp will attend this event!!!!!!
• Immediately upon return from PMMS - competition meeting in small gym to go over pep performances

GREAT JOB cheering last Friday night! Keep the SPIRIT UP!!!

Oh by the way... I am changing the name from MVP to MVC (most valuable cheerleader)...
This weeks MVC was Brooke... it seemed like she was always there opening doors - setting up - always willing to do one more thing and no complaining! Thanks Brookie and Congrats for being this weeks MVC!!!

$20 raffle item is due at practice on Tuesday.
This item will be used as a raffle fundraiser at our competition on October 4.

Calendar AD's are DUE!!! You only have one more week to get them. We will begin setting up picture dates with our $500 and up sponsors during the last week of September. FYI - you must secure either one BIG sponsor or 2 $50 sponsors (with business card).

You girls did a great job cheering last Friday! I am proud of all of you and your effort is really showing on the field.

MVP this week goes to HALEIGH KLINEFELTER for her flexability and determination to make our pyramid work. Way to grin and bear it!

And to all of you - thanks for really coming together by not letting any "random situations" deeply affect our team. This was our first real test and you all made A's...
