• 3:40pm meet in Rm 523 to go over plan for the night
• 4pm - decorate locker room
• BANNER group needs to bring TAPE for the run-thru
• 5pm - dinner by Buffalo's in room 506
• 5:30 - 6:15pm - get ready for game

Game Time - wear K uniform, blk bloomers, infinitys

• 6:30pm head down to the field for pre-game activities
• 7:30pm Kick-Off - No Hope 4 Pope!!!
• ~10pm post-game meeting and dismissal

MOUNTAIN CHEER CLASSIC RAFFEL

THIS IS A MANDATORY FUNDRAISER !!

Each cheerleader is responsible for turning in at least one item with a minimum of 20.00 value. The item can be donated from a local business or you can purchase a restaurant gift card or merchant gift card. There is plenty of time for the girls to get donations from local businesses.

We will compile a list of all 50 items. We will draw the raffle tickets during the Mountain Cheer Classic on October 4th. There will be at least 50 chances to win.

The cheerleaders will sell the raffle tickets at the football games and we will also set up a table and sell them at the competition. They will be given a sheet with all the raffle items on it and will sell the tickets for 1.00 each.

The deadline for turning in raffle items is Tuesday September 9TH. Please make sure to put your name on the item you are donating, so I can mark you off the list.

Here are some examples of items you can get donated….or you can purchase

A round of golf, a one month tanning membership, a nail salon gift certificate, a car wash or oil change, a restaurant gift card, Tickets to a sporting event, basket of items from bath and body works, starbucks card, Blockbuster Gift Card. If you go to a restaurant, tanning place, or nail salon on a regular basis….it is usually easy to get them to donate something of a 20.00 value.

Way to Kick Off the AD Sales!

KatyBeth, Kelsey and Brooke have secured their first AD in record time!

BIG UPS to Kelsey for securing our 1st $500+ add for one of the big picture AD's!

Some great suggestions were made:

1. ask people you know to advertise their business in our calendar
2. get suggestions from your parents
3. go out in groups of two or three for added courage
4. REMEMBER to be on your best behavior when going to a business as you are representing YOURSELF, our squad, and KMHS!

WAY TO GO GIRLS and other game stuff

I just wanted to let you know that you did a great job on Friday night! Coach Jones came to find me at our football game Saturday morning to say how greatful the boys were for all of your efforts in the locker room. :)

Pre-game/banner: AWESOME job on the cheer and pyramid!!! Banner was awesome! Enough said!

Game time: Overall - it was pretty good - especially considering we have 14 new varsity football cheerleaders! Several of you have let me know that "you know" you need to work. Thanks for owning up and don't fret... we have two weeks until the next REAL game!

Post-Game: Great job making sure the room was cleaned up! Ashley C - please remember the mirror for next week. For those who are new (all 14 of you) we will always have a quick meeting before being dismissed so inform your ride home ahead of time so they do not wonder why it is taking so long...

One last thing: I want to recognize KATIE GILSTRAP as the Jamboree MVP... as a returning Varsity cheerleader - way to overcome the circumstances, lead your banner group and get it done! Please stop by my room on Monday morning to get this weeks MVP award!

A few changes and updates for the week...

GREAT JOB at practice today. I had a list of objectives and we accomplished every one! Come tomorrow with the same attitudes and we will be well on our way to a good start for football season!

Wednesday, Aug 13 - wear blk tee/blue shorts - meet in small gym at 3:40 - LAST CALL for uniform issues!!! Get your bloomers from me at practice! Captains be sure to make a list of priorities for practice! I will bring the old chant list. Each girl will be assigned 5 football players - you need to make a poster for each player and turn it in to me before school on Friday.

Thursday, Aug 14 - 3:40 - 5pm Competition Practice in the small gym - white tank/tee and black shorts

3:40 - 5pm all Non-Comp varsity cheerleaders are encouraged to stay and make spirit signs for the cafeteria and the locker room.

5 - 5:30pm all varsity football cheerleaders need to stay and stuff the goodie bags for the players. We will not have time to do this on Friday (because of pictures) so we must get it done today! Ms. Gilstrap is bringing all of the stuff for us!

Friday, Aug 15 - PICTURES 5pm and Jamboree 7pm - KMHS vs Campbell

TO SCHOOL: blue tee with Jeans - bring POSTERS and you must check in with me BEFORE SCHOOL or you will sit out for one quarter - I will be in the cafeteria or my homeroom (#230).

AFTER SCHOOL: 3:40pm - Meet in room 523 - if you are late you will sit out for one quarter - this is a great dress rehearsal for the start of our season as we have many new VARSITY cheerleaders! We have a lot to do including game chores, decorate locker room, eat dinner and get ready for the game!!! Additionally - varsity pics are at 5pm - seniors w/parents too!

TO GAME: K Uniform, bloomers, infinitys, white bow from Ms. Coffey, pompoms, new GIANT megaphones!!!!

7:50am - Competition Cheerleaders meet in Coach G's room to put on uniforms - bring your BLACK BLOOMERS and White Bow

8am - Theater - ALL Spirit Cheerleaders w/pom poms if you have them (wear black tee/blue shorts/white bow) report for the Welcome Back Teachers Pep-Rally - This is our first impression with the faculty so please LOOK YOUR BEST! You will be dismissed immediately after pep-rally (~9am).

Immediately following pep-rally all girls assigned to help clean up cheer area will head over to the small gym area. You will be dismissed ~11am...

4pm - Competition Practice at Stingrays - PLAIN white top/black shorts
